North Melbourne supporters should be investing in a Foxtel or Kayo subscription in 2026, according to Kane Cornes.
The Kangaroos are set to be shunned by the AFL with just one free-to-air game in the first fixture drop up until Round 15.
Cornes says the Roos won’t be seen much on Channel 7 next season.
“If I was a North Melbourne fan I’d be going and subscribing to Foxtel,” Cornes said on SEN Breakfast.
“Because unsurprisingly there may only be one free-to-air fixture. Maybe the Good Friday fixture.”
Co-host Sam Edmund was shocked: “Just one?”
Cornes: “What did you expect after the way they carried on last year.”
Edmund: “What did they have this year?”
Cornes: “More than that. They had the 100-year celebration when the all the old players came back and Denis Pagan spoke before the game, which was great.”
Edmund: “So just one for the year?”
Cornes: “Yep.”
At the other end of the scale, Edmund reported that Hawthorn will be the AFL’s prime time TV darlings with eight Thursday or Friday games in the opening 15 rounds.
The 2026 AFL fixture will be released from midday today.
