Luke Metcalf has agreed to join the St George-Illawarra Dragons on a three-year deal, per David Riccio.
Metcalf will join the Dragons next season on a deal worth $900,000 a year.
The Warriors' star joins Keaon Koloamatangi and Scott Drinkwater as marquee signings joining the club next season as the Dragons look to rise back into finals contention.
The signing muddies the future of young gun Kade Reed, and Daniel Atkinson, who will likely compete to partner Metcalf in the halves next season.
The Dragons had attempted to sign Metcalf during the off-season before the half re-signed with the Warriors.
However, when the Warriors re-signed Tanah Boyd long-term, Metcalf was granted permission to speak to rivals.

The New Zealand Warriors have confirmed Luke Metcalf has been given permission to negotiate with rival clubs.
Metcalf, who was leading the Dally Ms before his ACL injury last season, asked for permission to speak to rivals after falling behind Tanah Boyd in the pecking order.
The halfback signed a two-year extension during the off-season but has struggled to get back into the side after the form of Boyd and Chanel Harris-Tavita to start the year.
"The One New Zealand Warriors have acceded to a request from Luke Metcalf’s management to engage with other NRL clubs regarding his playing future from 2027 and beyond," the Warriors said in a statement.
“We will not make any further comment on this matter until a further update is provided by Luke and or his management,” said One New Zealand Warriors CEO Cameron George.
Sunia Turuva is the latest Wests Tigers player to extend long-term with the club, re-signing until 2030.
Turuva, who was originally contracted until the end of 2027, has extended for a further three seasons.
His retention marks the latest in a string of high-profile extensions, joining the May brothers, Terrell and Taylan, and Jahream Bula in re-signing since the news Jarome Luai would join the PNG Chiefs in 2028.
"The connection and culture we've created inside this group has been a massive part of our growth," Turuva said.
"I love playing alongside my brothers and can't wait for what's ahead.
"I'm grateful to Benji and the club for the faith they've shown in me, and my family for the support they give me away from footy.
"I just want to keep repaying them on the field each week."

After spending the last two seasons with the Dragons, Damien Cook is reportedly set to leave the club.
It's been reported by Nine's Danny Weidler that the 34-year-old will sign a two-year deal to go to England to play for the Castleford Tigers.
Throughout his NRL career, Cook has been one of the best hookers within the competition, having previously represented NSW and Australia at the representative level.
Cook has played 248 games for St George Illawarra, South Sydney and Canterbury-Bankstown.

Alex Johnston has been confirmed as the PNG Chiefs' second signing, just over a week after the news was initially broken.
Johnston, who has represented PNG on the international stage will join Jarome Luai in PNG with coach Willie Peters.
The NRL's greatest ever try-scorer has inked a one-year contract with the Chiefs, after the Rabbitohs allowed the winger to negotiate with the inaugural side despite having 18 months left on his contract.
PNG Chiefs General Manager Football, Michael Chammas said the signing was a special moment for the club.
“AJ is the greatest try scorer in the history of our game and a Papua New Guinean icon,” Chammas said.
“A player who has represented his country with pride on the international stage and carried the hopes of the PNG
people throughout a remarkable career. And now he is coming home. He is the first Papua New Guinean player to sign with the PNG Chiefs. The first of many.”

Terrell and Taylan May have both extended with the Wests Tigers on long-term deals.
Amid concerns Tigers players could follow co-captain Jarome Luai to the PNG Chiefs, the club have moved swiftly to lock up the brother duo long-term at the club.
Both players will be at the club until the end of 2030 and form a cornerstone of the Tigers future squad.
The re-signings come as young gun Kit Laulilii agrees to a two-year deal with the Perth Bears, linking up with brother Luke at the club.
He joins Apa Twidle as the Bears' latest signings, with the young Parramatta winger signing a three-year contract.
He becomes the 18th player to sign with the NRL's 18th side.

Former Rooster Joey Manu has been linked to a return to the NRL in recent weeks, with the PNG Chiefs emerging as a real option for the premiership winner.
While Manu is still playing rugby union in France, his contract expires in time for him to become an inaugural member of the PNG Chiefs maiden campaign.
Speaking to SEN, NRL journalist David Riccio revealed that, thanks to the Chiefs' competitive tax advnatages, they were one of few clubs that could make a genuine play for the elite centre.
"This has been doing the rounds... it's a byproduct of his talent," Riccio told SEN 1170 The Front Office with Vossy.

"While he's still playing at an elite level and knowing the elite level he can get to still at his age, he will always be in the discussion in and around NRL clubs.
"It will come down to money for Joey Manu... he's not going to come back for anything less than $700,000.
"Now, for the Chiefs, this is the salary cap advantage that they do have, so absolutely they could make a play for him because of the tax breaks that they receive.
"They can get to the money that other clubs can't get to pay in excess of $700,000 for a centre."
Manu's father, Nooroa, revealed that "PNG is an option" as his son weighs up a return to the NRL when his current contract finishes.
“We are looking at options at the moment, and the next level would be to see how it (living in PNG) would have an impact on him," he said to CODE Sports.
“Joey is evaluating what to do,” his father added.
“There is no 100 per cent call he would go to PNG, but it is certainly attractive because of the tax-free dollars. They are a new franchise, and they will be looking for new recruits.
“Even if he is going to consider (the Chiefs), he would want to look at Papua New Guinea and see it for real. There are definitely some things he misses about the NRL.”
However, Riccio believes that if he was likely to return to the NRL, the New Zealand Warriors pose the greatest chance of signing the Kiwi international.
"I think if there's a legitimate chance (of him returning), I think it would be the Warriors.
"His family's still in New Zealand, and there's a definite link back through his heritage.
"So, I think if there's that one club that would be looking that maybe he could take a little bit less to go back to be around family, it would be the Warriors."

The PNG Chiefs have got their man!
Jarome Luai has reportedly informed teammates he will join the Chiefs in 2028 in a huge moment for the new franchise.
The Wests Tigers are expected to hold a press conference tomorrow to announce the news.
It comes on the back of the NRL's greatest try scorer, Alex Johnston, also agreeing to join will the PNG Chiefs from 2028.
Johnston is a PNG national, representing the nation on 12 occasions, and will be heralded in the country given he is the first player to join the new franchise.
He is expected to sign a one-year deal worth $325,000 tax-free dollars, per Pete Badel in The Daily Telegraph.
Johnston recently became the NRL's highest ever try-scorer, and has spoken openly previously about his desire to join the Chiefs.
"I'm signed for this year and next year at Souths and after that, if I've still got some miles to go in the legs, I'll definitely be talking to the Chiefs," Johnston told 100% Footy in March.
"It would be pretty cool to be one of the first signed for a Papua New Guinean team.
"They absolutely love footy over there and I've got a good relationship with the fans and the prime minister over there. I think that's something I'd look forward to."
It's a major boost for the new franchise, as they pursue the signature of Jarome Luai from the Wests Tigers.

Gold Coast Titans' flyer Phillip Sami has officially signed a three-year deal with the St George-Illawarra Dragons starting next season.
The Titans cult hero has spent the past decade with the club after debuting in 2017, scoring 74 tries across his 149 appearances in the blue and yellow.
Sami joins the Dragons' rebuild for 2027, joining Scott Drinkwater and Keaon Koloamatangi as notable signings for the joint venture.
The former State of Origin representative will bolster the club's outside backs stocks, which is a notable area of weakness for the franchise.
“Phil has been a really quality player in the NRL for a number of years now,” Dragons CEO Tim Watsford said.
“He’s fast, strong, athletic and a real handful for opposition teams out of yardage. We’ve identified him as a player who can add something to our backline, and we’re excited to welcome him to the club in 2027.”
25/04/2026
Scott Drinkwater will officially be a Dragon in 2027 with the club confirming they have sign the fullback on a three year deal from North Queensland.
The 28 year old has played 151 games for the club where he scored 57 tries.
In a statement, Drinkwater expressed his excitement in joining the side.
“I’m really looking forward to joining the Dragons and being part of what the club is building,” he said.
“You can see the young talent from the area making its way through the ranks, so it’s an exciting challenge to go on this journey with them.
“I look forward to finishing strong at the Cowboys this year and then arriving at the Dragons for 2027 to do everything I can to contribute to the team’s success.”

Selwyn Cobbo has signed a new one-year deal with The Dolphins, keeping him with the club until the end of 2027.
Cobbo joined The Dolphins this season from the Broncos, signing a one-year deal.
The former Origin winger has enjoyed a strong start to 2026, and with the impending departure of Jamayne Isaako at the end of the season, Cobbo's extension is an important one for the club.
Dolphins’ chief executive Terry Reader said the recruitment of Cobbo had been a great move for both parties.
“Selwyn has already made his presence felt at the Dolphins - both on the field and off it,” Dolphins CEO Terry Reader said.
“What has been most impressive is how well he has melded into our playing group and the club in general.
“He has been a great fit for the Dolphins, and I know the environment around our club is something Selwyn has enjoyed.
“We believe this contract extension is just the start of what will be a long career for Selwyn in the Dolphins’ jersey.”
The Dolphins also have Jack Bostock and Tevita Naufahu able to play on the wing in their depth.

The Warriors have identified Broncos' back Grant Anderson as their preferred candidate to replace Mitchell Barnett in 2027, per Pete Badel.
Barnett secured a release on compassionate grounds to return to Australia and agreed to join the Broncos on a two-year deal.
While Barnett's move does not hinge on the Warriors and Broncos coming to an agreement over a player swap, the Warriors are hopeful the Broncos' will agree to Anderson joining the club.
Anderson only joined Brisbane this season, making two appearances this season after leaving the Storm at the end of 2025.
The 26-year-old, who can play wing, centre, fullback, or five-eighth, looms as a likely replacement for Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, who departs the club at season's end.
The Warriors also have Watene-Zelezniak and Khan-Pereira at the club on the wings, while Adam Pompey, Rocco Berry, and Ali Leiataua are the leading three centres at the club, with Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and Taie Tuaupiki able to slot in there also.
The Warriors are open to receiving Anderson this season, but will not entertain releasing Barnett early.

Another million dollar man could be made if the Dragons audacious bid to land Scott Drinkwater comes off.
News Corp reports that an $3 million contract over three years is on the table.
Drinkwater has been given permission to talk to other clubs with as many as five rumoured to be chasing his signature.
“The Dragons tabled an offer to us (on Tuesday night) and we will try and organise a meeting next week,” Drinkwater’s manager Gavin Orr said.
“It’s a really good three-year offer from the Dragons and we are looking at what that looks like for Scott.
“He will look at the offer seriously. We will continue talks next week, my attitude is we talk business from Monday to Wednesday and then after that I let the player focus on his team and the game ahead.

Sydney Roosters' star Connor Watson has been granted permission to negotiate with rivals with the possibility of leaving the club before the end of his deal.
Watson, an NSW Origin representative, has 12 months remaining on his Roosters' deal, but has been told he can negotiate with rivals to explore his long-term options.
While the Roosters don't want to push Watson out early, they will allow him to leave early if he can secure a long-term offer.
Manly, Perth, and PNG are the three clubs circling the NSW star, who's preferred position is lock or hooker, but is regarded as one of the most versatile players in the competition.
Jaxon Purdue has made a call on his future, having committed to the North Queensland Cowboys.
The 20-year-old, who grew up supporting the club, will extend his stay till 2030, having signed a four-year extension.
The centre had a breakout last year, managing to maintain his starting spot in the side throughout last year, scoring 14 tries.
Speaking to club media, Purdue was excited to remain at the club.
“I have always loved this club. I grew up supporting the Cowboys and to be able to put on the jersey each week is special to me and my family,” he said.
“We have a great playing group here and the I love the way the coaching staff connect with the players, they have been a huge help to myself and all the younger players in the squad.
“I really believe we are set up for success now and into the future.
“I love living in North Queensland, this is home. I am still able to see my best mates and family regularly, which makes me happy and when I’m happy, I’m playing my best footy.
“The Cowboys members and fans are like no other in the NRL and are another huge reason why I love playing for this club.”

The Melbourne Storm have signed Jamayne Isaako on a two-year deal, replacing a mass exodus of outside backs.
Isaako, 29, will link up with the Storm after four seasons at The Dolphins, and is an important signing for the Victorian club following the departures of Will Warbrick and Nick Meaney in 2027.
Isaako, a prolific try-scorer and the league's top point-scorer last season, will take over the goal-kicking duties at Melbourne following the retirement of Ryan Papenhuyzen and the impending departure of Nick Meaney.
“Jamayne is a high-quality and experienced player who adds speed and versatility to our backline,” Storm director of football Frank Ponissi said.
“With Jamayne’s partner Abby having her parents based in Melbourne, this move suits both parties incredibly well, and we’re confident he’ll be an excellent addition to our Club and make a strong contribution to our squad over the next few years.”
Isaako has previously played for the Broncos and Titans.

The Sea-Eagles have locked away centre Tolutau Koula on a five-year contract extension, which sees his tenure with the club go up to 2031.
The 23-year-old has been a constant within the squad since debuting in 2022, with the back being able to play as a winger and fullback when required, showing his versatility.
That was shown last season when the Tongan international won the club's player of the year award for the first time.
Speaking on the announcement, coach Anthony Seibold was thrilled to have the Tongan international recommit to the club.
“Tolu's form last year was simply outstanding and deservedly so he was our Player of the Year,” Seibold said.
“In the three years that I've coached Tolu, I've seen a guy who has obviously got great athletic ability, but his consistency, his efforts at training, and his ability to break tackles has been there for all to see.
“Tolu is a very humble guy who has real passion for the Club. He is among a group of players who are the future of the Club.
"I feel like Tolu’s best football is in front him and that he can become one of the game’s most elite outside backs."

The Cowboys have made a valuable depth signing, securing the signature of former Panthers' hooker Soni Luke for the 2026 season.
Luke, who turns 30 in February, has played 26 first grade games for Penrith, but has been limited to just one appearance a season in 2024 and 2025.
The hooker will provide depth for new signing Reed Mahoney at the Cowboys, following the departure of Karl Lawton during the off-season.
Luke originally signed a NSW Cup deal with the Rabbitohs, however, has found a top 30 lifeline in North Queensland, inking a one-year contract.
The former Panther was one of two hookers to leave Penrith at the end of 2025 along with Luke Somemrton, but his performances for Tonga in the Pacific Championships ultimately earned him a first grade second chance.
19/01/2026
In-demand Sharks' rising star Jesse Colquhoun has recommitted to the club on a long-term extension.
Colquhoun has risen through the ranks at the Sharks, filling the void of Cameron McInnes at lock last season when their captain suffered an ACL injury.
Despite significant interest from the Knights and Bears, among others, Colquhoun has inked a four-year extension at the Sharks, joining Blayke Brailey as one of two players signed until at least 2030.
Having played 29 games thus far, 18 of which in 2025, the 24-year-old decided to remain loyal to the club.
"I'm extremely grateful I get to stay here for the next four years," Colquhoun said.
"The Sharks' loyalty towards me in those tough times definitely hasn't gone unnoticed and that's why I'm glad to call this place home.
"It gives me a lot of confidence knowing they're signing me on a long-term deal. Hopefully, I can return the favour by playing good, consistent footy.
"At the end of the day, we want to win a comp and that's why I want to stay. If we can deliver on that promise, I'd be really happy."

Wests Tigers' young gun Luke Laulilii has signed with the Pearth Bears for 2027.
Laulilii has played nine first grade games since debuting in 2024, scoring four tries.
The young Wests Tigers' outside back is a strong up-and-coming player and a quality depth signing for the Bears.
He joins Nick Meaney, Sean Russell, Harry Newman as the other outside backs signed to the Bears.
He is the 13th player to join the Bears.
12/01/2026
The Perth Bears have announced the signing of second rower James McDonnell and young outside back Chris Vea’ila on two-year deals.
McDonnell is an Irish international who has played 87 games across four Super League club including the Leeds Rhinos.
McDonnell is the second Super League player to join the Bears in 2027 after Harry Newman, highlighting a clear recruitment tactic by the Bears to attract overseas talent.
A talented second rower, McDonnell will line up alongside Josh Curran and Liam Henry in the forward pack.
“It’s been an ambition of mine to play in the NRL and I’m absolutely delighted to be given that chance with the Perth Bears," McDonnell said.
“The NRL is the toughest competition in the world, and I can’t wait to get over to Western Australia and test myself against the best of the best.
“It’s great to know that Harry Newman and a few other lads from the Super League will be joining me. My focus is on giving 100% for the Rhinos this year but it’s exciting to think that in a year’s time I’ll have the chance to be a part of history”.
It hasn't been confirmed who the additional Super League players are.
Chris Vea'ila is a young Sharks' centre who made his NRL debut in 2025, playing two games with the club and scoring one try.
The 22-year-old inked a two-year deal, having been a key part of the Newton Jets' campaigns over the last two seasons in reserve grade, having progressed through the Knights' junior system.
“The chance to be a part of history with the Bears was too good an opportunity to pass up,” Vea’ila said.
“Perth is a fantastic city, and I feel it gives me the best opportunity to continue my development as a player on and off the field.”

Storm duo Tyran Wishart and Nick Meaney have confirmed their exits from the club at the end of the season, with both expected to join the Perth Bears.
Wishart will likely make the move to the Bears and be given the starting hooker position at the club, while Meaney is expected to line up at fullback for the expansion club.
The Storm announced the pair would leave the club at the end of the season, likely making them the ninth and tenth signing for the inaugural side.
Tyran Wishart, who has broken out in recent years thanks to his versatility and utility-value, thanked the Storm for bringing him into first grade.
“I’ll be forever grateful to Storm for many things, but especially for giving me the opportunity to play first grade footy. The Club welcomed me in almost 5 years ago and I’ve learned so much in that time,” Wishart said.
“The quality of people within the Club made it incredibly hard to make this decision and I know I’ll always look back on my time in Melbourne fondly.
“For now though I’m fully committed and focused for a big 2026 and can’t wait for the season ahead.”
Meaney, who joined the club in 2022, echoed similar sentiments to Wishart, following his transformation at the club.
“Coming to this club was the easiest decision I’ve ever made, but deciding to leave has been the hardest,” Meaney said.
“My wife and I are forever grateful for everything this club has given us. We’ve met some of our closest friends and have raised our two boys here, who absolutely love everyone at the club.
“Regardless of my future, I am 100% committed to helping Storm achieve our ultimate goal in 2026. It is a true honour to wear the purple jersey, and it’s going to be incredibly tough to leave.”
08/01/2026
Perth have made their second signing in two days with Storm star Nick Meaney expected to join the Perth Bears in 2027, per Michael Carayannis.
Meaney joined the Storm from the Bulldogs in 2022 and has become an integral member of their backline, playing across centre, wing, and fullback.
The outside back has scored 62 tries in 159 games.
Meaney, a consistent try scorer and handy goal kicker, will add consistency and quality to the Perth backline.
It comes as Perth continue their pursuit of Tyran Wishart, with the utility identified as Perth's hopeful inaugural hooker.
The exit of Meaney comes as the Storm try to negotiate with the Eels to let star Zac Lomax join the club immediately.

The Perth Bears have made their biggest move yet, signing Bulldogs' forward Josh Curran for their inaugural season.
Curran has inked a three-year deal with the Bears to be their most experienced signing so far.
The forward has played 106 games across the Bulldogs, Warriors, and Roosters, and will form a key part of Mal Meninga's first forward pack.
Curran said the opportunity to join a new franchise was too good to ignore.
“This is an exciting opportunity that I just couldn’t pass up,” Curran said.
“The chance to be a part of the Bears inaugural squad, to have my name as one of their first signings is surreal.
“I’m passionate about getting out in the community and to have the opportunity to create something from the ground up that can inspire a whole state also motives me.
“This is history for our game and I’m super excited to be a part of it."
Curran is the eighth signing for Meninga's Bears, alongside Penrith's Liam Henry, Parramatta's Sean Russell, and former Bulldogs' teammates Toby Sexton and Luke Smith.
Meninga was excited to add Curran't skillset to his inaugural side.
“Josh brings a unique combination of skill and finesse with the ball along with tenacity in defence. He plays with intensity and a commitment to be make his teammates shine,” Meninga said.
“I couldn’t be more impressed with Josh off the field too. He is a leader who spends countless hours investing back into the community.
“Josh is a fantastic signing for the Bears and I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with him in 2027.”

The Sydney Roosters have confirmed the signing of Tommy Talau for the 2026 season.
Talau was released by the Sea Eagles at the end of the 2025 season and has landed at the Roosters to bolster their outside back depth, particularly with Mark Nawaqanitawase leaving at the end of the coming season and Daniel Tupou's retirement upcoming.
The versatile outside back is the third Sea Eagle to sign with the Roosters since October after Daly Cherry-Evans for this season, and Rueben Garrick joining in 2027.
Roosters' Head of Recruitment Joel Carbone was pleased with Talau's signing.
"Tommy's signature adds valuable depth and experience to our backline," Carbone said.
"He's a strong competitor who has shown he can perform consistently at NRL level, and we believe he'll complement the talent we already have within our squad."
He has played 83 games across centre, wing, and five-eighth.
Talau's partner, Jess Sergis, is a star of the Roosters' NRLW side.

The Parramatta Eels have secured the signing of Brian Kelly after the Gold Coast Titans agreed to a release for the centre.
Kelly will join the Eels immediately on a two-year-deal and provide cover after the departure of Zac Lomax during the off-season.
It will add competition for spots in the backline, with Bailey Simonsson and Kelly likely to compete to replace Lomax.
Kelly returned to the Titans in 2019 having played his junior footy there, playing 143 games for the club.
The 29-year-old has played 190 games overall after debuting with the Sea Eagles.
The Titans confirmed Kelly's departure in a statement.
"The Titans can confirm Brian Kelly has been granted an early release from the final year of his contract to take up an opportunity with the Parramatta Eels," a Titans' statement read.
"The Titans thank Brian for his contribution over the past seven seasons and wish him all the best in his future endeavours."
Parramatta General Manager of Football Mark O'Neill was pleased to welcome Kelly to the club.
“We had an opportunity to strengthen our outside backs which was a positional area of need, and Brian certainly fits that need very well for us," O'Neill said.
"Jason and the coaching staff are looking forward to working with Brian who adds a greater attacking dimension to our game.
"With nearly 200 NRL games to his name, Brian’s experience will be an added benefit the broader squad."

Keaon Koloamatangi will reportedly join St George Illawarra, reports Code Sports.
The report suggests that he'll join the club in 2027 on a deal worth $5 million.
The contract is now in the cooling off period, meaning he has 10 days to change his mind under NRL contract laws.
It's believed that Koloamatangi turned down approaches from the Eels as well as to remain at the Rabbitohs before choosing the Red V.
24/12/2025
The Perth Bears have confirmed the signing of Sean Russell on a four-year deal.
The Eels' outside back has played 61 games since his debut in 2021, sharing his time across centre and wing.
Russell has scored 24 tries in his career and the Eels were keen to keep the versatile outside back, but the prospect of playing for a foundation club was too great for the 23-year-old to turn down.
Initially, the Bears aimed to have 10 signings by Christmas, but Russell marks the seventh player to officially join the club alongside Liam Henry, Toby Sexton, and Harry Newman.
"There’s already a lot of excitement and anticipation about the Bears entering the NRL I am delighted to have the opportunity to be a part of it," Russell said.
"My focus right now remains on the Eels and giving all that I have for 2026. They have supported me throughout my career, and I am forever grateful."
Bears' head coach Mal Meninga was pleased to have Russell joining Perth's inaugural roster.
"Sean is an outstanding talent who possesses the characteristics I am looking for as we continue to build our inaugural roster," Meninga said.
"He is a proven try-scorer and a fantastic defender. I have no doubt he will be a very important piece in our roster for many years to come."
The club are also chasing Bulldogs' forward Josh Curran.

The Melbourne Storm are expected to sign South Sydney prop Davvy Moale for the 2026 season after the release of Nelson Asofa-Solomona.
Moale will ink a one-year deal with the Storm, before the prop joins the Manly Sea Eagles on a three-year deal in 2027; a deal that was signed back in late September, per Michael Carayannis.
Moale becomes the second player to sign a unique deal of this kind, following Jonah Pezet in October, who signed a one-year deal with the Eels before he will join the Broncos long-term.
It’s a new emerging trend of deals with the potential to give the current transfer market system a shake-up.
Standing at 186cm tall, and 112kg, Moale is shorter than the hulking size of Nelson Asofa-Solomona, who stands at two metres.
At 22, Moale has long been touted for a breakout season having impressed greatly coming through the Rabbitohs’ junior system, but a pre-season under Craig Bellamy, who is renowned for getting the best out of players, could see the prop unlock the next level to his game.
The Storm have also signed Jack Hetherington for the 2026 season after Eli Katoa was ruled out of the entire season, while Ativalu Lisati recently re-signed and the club nabbed Dolphins’ rookie Oryn Keeley for 2027. Young Titans’ prop Josiah Pahulu also joins the club.
Sua Faalogo will also get first crack at the vacant fullback role after the departure of Ryan Papenhuyzen.
The Sea Eagles were hopeful of having Moale a year early, but were unable to move a player on early, halting the move.
10/12/2025
The Perth Bears have confirmed the double signing of Liam Henry and Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui for the 2027 season.
Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui will play with the Catalans Dragons in 2026, alongside new halfback Toby Sexton, before joining the Bears for 2027 and 2028.
The forward’s signing could play a key role in luring brother Tino Fa’asuamaleaui to the club, with the Titans’ star identified as a major target for the new side.
The elder Fa'asuamaleaui is able to negotiate with rivals for 2027 and looms as a potential marquee get for the Bears given his relationship with Mal Meninga.
“The Perth Bears provide an incredible opportunity for me to continue my career and play a part in building something special in Western Australia,” Fa’asuamaleaui said.
“It’s going to be good to get to play with Toby (Sexton) at Catalans and hopefully have a strong year in Super League.”
“That’s my priority right now but in 2027 I’ll be ready to give it my all for the Bears.”
Meanwhile, Liam Henry has inked a four-year deal, with the 24-year-old making the move from the Penrith Panthers.
The young prop has become a mainstay in the Panthers’ side, playing 50 games for the club, including their 2024 premiership win, and will serve as a cornerstone of the inaugural pack.
Hailing from Blayney in regional New South Wales, Henry spoke about the opportunity to carve a new legacy at a new club.

The Sydney Roosters have confirmed the signature of Reuben Garrick from 2027.
Garrick will join the Roosters on a three-year-deal beginning next season, following good friend Daly Cherry-Evans and Tommy Talau as the latest Sea Eagle to join the club.
The Manly star has split between centre and wing over his career at the Sea Eagles, playing 157 games for the club.
The signing is crucial for the Roosters, with Kangaroos' star Mark Nawaqanitawase returning to rugby union in 2027, while questions remain over the future of Daniel Tupou, who could retire at season's end.
Garrick has scored the third most points in Manly history and holds the record for most points in a season in 2021.
"The Sydney Roosters have announced the signing of Reuben Garrick on a three-year deal commencing in 2027," a Roosters media statement read.
"Garrick will join the Roosters ahead of the 2027 pre-season, with the Club respecting his ongoing commitment to Manly in 2026, and wishing him well for the season."
