England lose crucial player for rest of Ashes

Jofra Archer has been ruled out of the remainder of the Ashes with a left side strain in a major blow for the rest of England's campaign.

Archer has been replaced by Gus Atkinson for the fourth Test in Melbourne; the bowler recalled after being dropped for Adelaide.

Batter Ollie Pope is also out, dropped for Jacob Bethell after he had a series of underwhelming performances in the first three Tests.

England are hoping for a victory to restore pride in a series quickly getting away from them, as both teams prepare for the Boxing Day Test.
