Which left-field player could have the biggest impact on your team’s success in 2026?

We all know the stars that will anchor your side’s fortunes across the season, stealing the headlines and earning both the criticisms and the credit.

But which of the utility players could play the most important role within your club’s quest within the season ahead?

Kane Cornes and David King each nominated one player they believe could take the leap.

“We’re not talking about the stars – which player is going to play a vital role (at your club)?” Kane Cornes said on SEN Breakfast.

“I think Luke Pedlar could be one at Adelaide. I hope he gets himself fit - I think he has attributes to be a very, very good player.

“They played him deep forward last year and he had some good moments, but he should be a centre bounce/forward, Isaac Heeney player. That’s what he should be - top 10 pick.

“His upside can have a meaningful difference at Adelaide and their chances.”

“No one talks about Max Hall,” David King added.

“No one talks about him. I think they’ve got to lift the rating on conversations about Hall.

“I think he is that guy you are talking about. When he impacts, (St Kilda) will win games.”
