Star Crow sidelined with irregular heartbeat

ADELAIDE has copped another pre-season injury blow, with Jake Soligo sidelined by an undisclosed complaint.

Sources have confirmed Soligo has been battling an unusual injury, with the Crows needing to undertake more research into the problem.

It’s unclear how much football Soligo will miss, but he won’t feature against Fremantle in the Crows’ final pre-season game on Saturday.

Adelaide may release a statement later today.

The uncertainty around the onballer comes at a delicate time for last year’s minor premier, who have been hit by multiple injuries throughout the pre-season.

Soligo’s issues come with the likes of Mark Keane, Dan Curtin, Isaac Cumming , Mitch Hinge and Izak Rankine all battling various complaints.

The Crows have since released this statement:

Crows midfielder Jake Soligo has been ruled out of Saturday’s practice game against Fremantle in Mandurah.

Soligo took part in today’s main session however, he has been on a managed training workload in recent weeks due to an irregular heartbeat.

The Club has liaised with its own experienced medical staff, as well as external specialists, to best manage the 23-year-old’s recovery.

Soligo is expected to return to training next week.
