Cam Luke & Campbell Brown have your Monday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a look at Morphettville, Coffs Harbour, Cowra, Devonport & Warrnambool to bring the Track family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
MORPHETTVILLE
Race 2, No.5 - Flirt
Won’t have any major issue getting the lead and controlling it. Won’t go around a horse and get the softest of leads. Is in really good form and although this is harder, I do like the 1.5kg claim. Stays at the 1100m should ensure strength late and the good track is when she is at her best! Stolen Kiss the danger freshened up and back in trip and grade but I think will be back off a slow tempo and find it hard to catch them. Goes in the EQ for safety but I think Flirt continues the nice form!
Race 7, No.3 - Eventually (Each-way)
Ran down the favourite last start in the Lord Reaims (albeit was fitter) and the two miles I doubt will be an issue. Will go back and smoke the pipe from that gate and wait her turn! She is in the best form of her life and rarely runs a bad one on a good track! Teagan Voorham will need to be patient but with the speed I expect she can be, she may not have the class as some of the to others, but she is way over the odds and a certain Top 6 finisher ($2.70).
Race 8, No.3 - Bootlegger
Pushed the favourite here last start and will have a really nice speed map again. Gets to the mile for the first time which won’t hurt, especially without a major amount of speed on paper. Is pretty well weighted and I think can sit 1-1 and take luck (Dirty Old Town will need some from gate 1) out of the equation. Wouldn’t have hated some rain for him but if his form holds up, he can run a nice race at $10.
COFFS HARBOUR
Race 4, No.4 - All Torn Up
Trialled really well and won on debut as expected. Drawn really nicely again today and although is a tougher assignment, not by too much! in fact outside of City of Tears the field is lacking. Expect Jones to let her roll and control the race and staying at the 1000m works nicely with the race experience.
Race 6, No.5 - Trounce
In a nice vein of form and was really good carrying weight last start! Gibbons stays on and she drops a ton albeit this is a little tougher! Up to the 1200m works as does the soft track! Will go forward and be in the race unlike Danxia who will drift back from that inside gate, and I think that will be the difference.
COWRA
Race 2, No.2 - The Glen
Scratchings has left this race very much skinny. Not getting a huge price but this bloke has been ok in first 2 starts! Gets to a trip that works for him and honestly might need further to show best form. Soft won't slow him down, will squeeze forward in what will be a slow tempo and although don’t want it shorter than $2.50, he should break his maiden.
Race 6, No.2 - Hammering Away
This is way easier here than the country champ heat last start so that’s a big tick, but I think the bigger positive is back to the 1200m! Should be able to park right behind Chico Casino (danger) who will have speed to burn and with the added fitness can wear the leader down!
Race 7, No.3 - Hey Jude
Was thrown into the deep end last start at Kembla after breaking the maiden and was ok. Will slide back but the distance is a major tick and there is plenty of speed (Vicious rumour / The Git Up) and he will get his chance. Has the fitness and has run well deeper into a prep before! As long as the track is allowing run on, he will be very hard to beat!
WARRNAMBOOL
Race 1, No.5 - Crickwood
Has jumped out well a couple of times which is a good sign considering not much went right on debut. Slow out and a heavy track combined to have him poor, it was also a deeper race. JA goes on which is a plus and won’t be far off them! Favourite goes into EQ as well! Should control the race and back to the 1000m helps but has had a couple of chances without impressing so I am with Crickwood who has improved and the good track will help showcase that!
Race 6, No.7 - Morgana
Talking about dropping in grade, chased home Sheza Alibi last start and Sofia prior! There isn’t a huge amount of speed, so I expect CN who is in the hottest of form to be aggressive and put her in the race! Her only win was third-up which she is today and the 1400m is a better option back to back with her fitness. She gets weight off the favourite (Inherently) and placed in a very suitable race, she is my best of the day!
MORPHETTVILLE
Race 2, No.2 - Alaa Plenty
Had been racing in tougher races before dropping back in grade and winning last start. Can go on with it now and I like the claim of Emily Ponzman who has ridden the horse before. Been well backed in this small field $3.90.
COFFS HARBOUR
Race 3, No.2 - Fall For Autumn
Last start was 1000m up to 1312m and just didn’t quite run out the trip second-up. Was still good to line running second. Not a stack of speed here so can jump from barrier 9, cross and lead them up. Will be hard to get past today $4.40.
DEVONPORT
Race 3, No.6 - Material Madam
Third-up today and ready to fire after two good runs back. There is good speed in this race and we map to get a perfect run. L Bingley can cuddle her to the 300m and let down over the top. Has run well before on synthetic track $4.20.
COWRA
Race 6, No.1 - Glowing Rapids
Back slightly in trip helps as does a soft track. Good draw and claim ticks all boxes today to get back in the winner’s circle. $2.50.
WARRNAMBOOL
Race 7, No.2 - Off His Roca
Bobbin runner who has been improving each start getting over further. Should be rock hard fit now, gets out over further again and does perform well with the sting out of the ground. Can beat the favourite $2.90.
