Produced a strong debut performance when narrowly beaten, with the result not fully reflecting the run. He was held up until the 200m before charging late, and with clear running earlier would likely have gone very close to winning.

The race shape looks ideal here, allowing him to settle behind a strong tempo before launching late.

Natural improvement between runs should see him take another step forward second-up, and he looks capable of proving the class act in this field.

Race 8, No.4 - Verona Rose

Was presented in excellent order last start, producing a sharp win and there is still more improvement to come.

The rise to 1500m appears ideal, she keeps Craig Williams in the saddle, and from the draw should land in a perfect position just behind the speed.

Given the strength of her lead-up performance and the favourable race setup, she looks well placed and appeals at the $8.00. Great each-way bet.
