Brisbane superstar Reece Walsh will remain sidelined for over a month, with confirmation of a broken cheek bone suffered during the Broncos' win over Gold Coast.

In his 100th NRL game, Walsh was taken from the field after taking a big hit from Titans' forward Kurtis Morrin before half time.

Sent in for scans, Walsh was certainly worse for wear, suffering a severe concussion from the blow.

Speaking with Fox League, Broncos hooker Ben Hunt stated that the 23-year-old star suffered a break, certain to rule him out for at least the next month.

“I don’t think ‘Reyno’ is too bad, he will go for scans, but I just got told ‘Reecey’ broke his cheekbone, so that could be a few weeks,” Hunt said.

Walsh has already suffered two cheekbone fractures within his career.

While he waits for an official diagnosis, Walsh will spend 11 days within the concussion protocol.

Walsh took to his social media during his time in the ambulance.

More to come.
