261 wins. That is the number that sits next to Scott Pendlebury’s name ahead of his record-breaking 433rd AFL match.

In pulling this ladder together we have replaced Collingwood with Pendlebury to see where he rates among the competition.

Since Pendlebury made his debut for the Magpies in Round 10 of the 2006 season, there have been just three clubs – yes, entire clubs - that have won more matches.

Geelong, who beat the Pies in the record-equaller, has saluted on 342 occasions, while Hawthorn has 276 victories and Sydney has 264 triumphs.

What makes this feat so much more impressive is that ‘Pendles’ has played the third least amount of games when you consider all other 17 clubs during his time in the league.

Only Gold Coast (340) and GWS (335) are behind him for games played, but he still has the fourth most wins. Quite incredible.

He has been involved in 166 losses, the second fewest behind only Geelong’s 137.

Look away Carlton fans - during this time you’ve lost 269 games which is over 100 more defeats than Pendles has experienced.

His win percentage of 60.4 the second best in his time, only behind the 70.8 of the Cats.

He’ll comfortably surpass Shaun Burgoyne’s 263 victories, which sits second all-time, but Michael Tuck’s record of 302 wins should remain intact. Unless of course Pendlebury plays another couple of seasons…

Without further ado, the Pendlebury Ladder!
