Andrew Voss has heaped plenty of praise on Jarome Luai following his magnificent performance against the Gold Coast Titans.
Having played their last game at Leichhardt Oval until 2028, the Tigers secured a 36-28 win against the Titans on Sunday, seeing them stay in touch with the top eight.
And Luai was at the centre of it.
In 80 minutes, the star half-eighth ran for 134 metres, which included eight tackle breaks and two line breaks alongside his three tries.
As a result of his performance, Voss believes this was the best match the 29-year-old has played.
“I've watched Jarome and called Jarome since he was a schoolboy, (I’m) gonna declare it maybe his best ever game for reasons of leadership,” he told SEN’s Front Office with Vossy.
“I've seen him play great games (with) Samoa at the last World Cup, and they made the final.
“But (that was) as good as I've ever seen him play, invested in the performance right from the opening minute, and an incredible game really.
“We talk about Origin period, and the oxygen goes out of the NRL. Not (in) yesterday's game.
“Two teams outside the eight. The run on was fantastic, the Tigers' greats are there, the atmosphere, last game at Leichhardt before 2028, and these two teams put on a great show.
The Tigers are off to Campbelltown this week to host the Dolphins the Saturday.
Kick-off takes place at 3pm AEST.
