Cam Luke & David Taggart have your Saturday sorted on Trackside.

The lads have taken a close look at Flemington & Randwick in a bid to find the family some winners.

See their best bets below:👇

Cam Luke

FLEMINGTON

Race 3 | 6. Tajanis

This bloke was really good in the Sandown Cup and gets 2.5kg from the fav. He worked hard mid race and fought on with seven weeks between runs. Today the quicker turnaround makes me think he will improve off that. At times he might be a little hard to relax as proven by mid race moves the last two but hoping the bigger track of Flemington helps him. Heavy track form doesn’t read unreal but been in better races than this. Back to 2500m shouldn’t hurt him and I think he is a great each-way play.

Race 6 | 4. It's A Knockout

This girl runs well second up and the toe into the ground. Was pretty good resuming and had to search for wider track before getting going late. Either she needs to be prominent early from the good gate or need a little more speed up front and the inside to be better going and she is going be very hard to beat. Carries nice weight with 3kg claimer and this is easier back into mares grade and she will be hard to beat with race to race improvement.

Race 8 | 3. Saint George

There is some speed here with Al Duca and Highlights both drawn wide and likely going forward. It will allow Saint George to drift back and get into a groove resuming. In saying that from that good gate with the claim, going forward would work. He was good with a similar set up last prep in the Seymour Cup (went back). He is the class runner of the field but a drying track later in the day would make me more comfortable but he will run well as he always does.

RANDWICK

Race 3 | 5. Bird Whistle

She is going well and she is tough as all get out! She is drawn really well to go and control it as is her liking and the firmer track here today helps her again. This is easier than last start and she finds a groove and bowls along nicely and she will be very hard to get past again.

Race 6 | 17. Boniface (each-way)

He was pretty good in the Aussie debut going up the inside and the inferior part of the track when looming. Race has stacked up well also. Soft track a concern and he will have added fitness from that run. Inside gate better than last start but he will drift back anyway. He has won second up before and will take improvement from that run. Feels like 1800m works and in a good race if he gets some luck he is a big chance.

Race 8 | 2. Bustling

Third time lucy for Bustling. He was really good last start in a race better than this. Gets back to 1200m and third-up form is good. He has come back after the long break exactly how I feel he should as he might have been a little hyped up when leaving Perth. He is going to need some luck from that gate but he gets back so Tommy Berry finds him cover, it will go a long way. Will prove today that he is still a nice horse albeit a little lower than his price tag but he is my best of the day.

Race 9 | 4. Zabiari

Was going around in Group races before heading down under. Three trials will have him prepared and Nash Rawiller in the seat suggests they feel he is ready to go. Runs well fresh and does enjoy toe into the ground. There is a little speed engaged (Whinchat/ Amore Victorious) so he will drift back and again will need galloping room but he is over the odds for mine.

IPSWICH CUP

Race 7 | 4. Belvedere Boys

He is the best horse in the race but we are getting a price as the gate is tricky. That said he does ease back anyway and the speed will be good enough with Kaluakoi taking control. He has been running really well building for this but again will need a pearler but I have full trust in Jake Bayliss. He loves a soft track and the trip he is ready for. Today is the day!!

David Taggart

FLEMINGTON

Race 3 | 4. Alder (value)

Comes into this now given the heavy conditions, forget last start as he pulled up lame. Nearly pinched the Warrnambool Cup prior to that on a bog and watch for him late.

Race 4 | 9. Prestar (best)

Didn’t have much luck first up and lost in a photo after over racing mid stages. Gets the TT on with both his wins have come on heavy tracks. Hopefully drawn the right side of the track.

Race 7 | 1. Dragonstone

Was huge first-up as he makes his way down south looking for a wet track. This is his pet trip and will find this easier than what he’s been up against. Only run down the straight was four years ago as a 3yo where he just got beat. Well worth an each-way ticket.

RANDWICK

Race 4 | 1. Hello Captain & Race 7 | 2. Ice Kool (double)

$2.70 on Sportsbet.

Race 6 | 4. Sky Lab (value)

Call me mad but can Sky Lab run a race? Much improved run last start in a stronger race to this but he does draw sticky. Trip suits.
