SEN 1116am is again celebrating another record-breaking GfK Radio 360 Survey period, with SEN Breakfast leading the charge.
Featuring Fireball with Kane and Kingy (with Kane Cornes and David King) on Mondays and Fridays and Breakfast with Garry and Tim (with Garry Lyon and Tim Watson), during the Survey 4 period SEN Breakfast achieved a 6.4% audience share 10+ (up from 5.9%) to record its highest audience share ever. SEN Breakfast also recorded its highest ever cumulative audience of 246,852 to cap off a record-breaking ratings period for the timeslot*.
On top of these results, SEN Breakfast remains the number one radio breakfast show podcast and number one AFL podcast in Australia~~.
Overall, SEN 1116am’s audience share was 5% (up from 4.8%), and total cumulative audience was SEN 1116am’s highest ever with 451,000 (up from 420,000)**.
Other notable results across SEN 1116am’s programming for the survey period were:
AFL Nation’s Saturday Crunch Time (with Gerard Whateley, Tom Morris, Ken Hinkley, Adam Simpson, Sam Edmund, Mark Bickley, Kane Cornes and Luke Hodge) also recorded an increase audience share of 5.0%++ (up from 4.3%) in what was another big survey period for SEN’s AFL coverage+++:
SEN’s channels on DAB+ also had a successful survey period, with the debut of Bunnings Tradio - which recorded a national cumulative audience of 79,250 - with SEN Fanatic (10,000) and SENTrack (36,000, up from 27,000) also recording strong results~, showing that SEN’s audience has a strong appetite for racing even outside of the bumper spring period.
SEN has also welcomed another strong set of digital audience results for SEN 1116am, with fans continuing to engage with the network's content across streaming, podcasts, social media and digital platforms.
The latest figures show SEN’s Victorian digital audience delivered substantial year-on-year growth during the Survey 4 period, highlighted by a 72 per cent increase in total streams across the SEN app and web platforms. SEN recorded 4.1 million total streams and 125.9 million minutes streamed during the survey period, underlining the growing appetite for SEN's premium sports content across multiple platforms.
The strong growth extended across the broader digital ecosystem, with SEN reaching 647,000 web and app users in Victoria, generating 37.7 million social video views, 93.5 million social impressions and 3.6 million podcast downloads. Social audiences also continued to grow, with SEN 1116am’s platforms now reaching 845,000 followers.
SEN Chief Executive, Craig Hutchison, said the latest results reflected the strength of SEN's content offering and its deep connection with sports fans.
