List changes: Bombers cut five including former Pick 5

The 2026 AFL off-season is underway, with a number of list changes set to commence over the coming months.

The AFL Trade Period opens on Monday, October 5th, running until Wednesday, October 14th.

Free Agency period runs from Friday, October 2nd to Friday, October 9th, with delisted free agents open from October to November.

The National Draft runs from November 19th to 20th, with the Pre-season and Rookie Drafts set for November 23rd.

The Pre-season supplemental selection period runs from December, 2026 to March, 2027.

Essendon will part ways with Elijah Tsatas.

AFL Media's Cal Twomey is reporting that the 21-year-old midfielder will not be offered a new deal for 2027.

"Elijah Tsatas has not been offered a new deal at Essendon," Twomey posted on X.

"The 21-year-old played 22 games at the Bombers in four years at the club. Now will qualify as a delisted free agent, making easier access to another club without any trade required."

Tsatas was selected with Pick 5 in the 2022 draft and played six AFL games this year for a total of 22.

SEN's Sam Edmund also revealed that the Bombers didn't offer new deals to both Jade Gresham and Matt Guelfi. The club later confirmed that both Saad El-Hawli and Liam McMahon were also delisted.
