Trade talk: Talented Dog makes call amid rival interest

Despite interest from rival clubs, Arty Jones is set to remain at the Western Bulldogs.

The forward will reportedly sign a three-year contract extension, which will take him through to 2029, according to AFL Media’s Cal Twomey.

The 23-year-old did have interest from the likes of Essendon and Brisbane, with the Bombers’ offer being above what the Dogs had previously offered last week, as noted by SEN’s Sam Edmund.

Jones played 20 games in 2026 and kicked 27 goals, third at the Dogs behind Aaron Naughton (51) and Marcus Bontempelli (31).

The Bulldogs saw their season come to an end last Saturday when they were defeated by Adelaide by 22 points in an Elimination Final.

Following their defeat, Oskar Baker, Harvey Gallagher, Lachlan Smith and Zac Walker have not been offered contracts for next season.
