Highly rated St Kilda player Alix Tauru has toured Gold Coast in recent days as he and his management seek a path out of Moorabbin.

It's understood the 19-year-old, who has a year remaining on his contract, travelled to Queensland in part to have a look around the Suns' facilities.

The Agenda Setters revealed last Wednesday that Tauru's name is one to watch in the trade period, with growing unrest evident between the club and his management in recent times.

His management is the same as Leek Aleer's, and there is still a degree of frustration after last year's aborted trade for the GWS defender.

It's believed Tauru's camp is looking for a long-term, lucrative extension at St Kilda beyond the end of his current deal, which expires at the end of 2027.

But the Saints have baulked at some of the figures which have been floated, proposing a shorter term arrangement.

Tauru, who is known as 'The Flying Viking' since his draft year, was taken at Pick 10 in 2024.

He struggled for consistency in 2026, managing just nine senior appearances. It's unclear whether St Kilda would entertain a trade for the teenager.

Tauru has played 19 games since debuting in 2024.
