BET OF THE DAY (Melbourne)

FLEMINGTON - Race 2 No.1 - REGAL AMBITION - Won well fresh on wet then sat back and raced by the then flying Pretty Baby at 1400m. Picked a tough day to swoop Caulfield in Thousand Guineas and ran very, very well. Back to 1400m. Suited.

BET OF THE DAY (Sydney)

RANDWICK - Race 3 No.4 - RUINATION - Blew start latest (race over!). On-speed his previous three this prep and on heels of smart ones. Keen runs well here, if jumps clean.

VALUE BET OF THE DAY

FLEMINGTON - Race 4 No.5 - SWEYNESDAY - Back/ Wide no trail fresh and race won on-pace/ inside yet he still ran home super. Much better suited 1200m and has great 2nd-up record. Beat Hanky Alpha when they clashed last Spring in NZ. $15 looks overs.

Feature races

Flemington - Race 7 - G1 VRC Derby - 3YO SW - 2500m

1. 7 - SKUA - Too wide here then too keen in Norman Robinson. Led and had a pest last week but he keeps running! Strong (again) through the line. It's a very even Derby, he looks like he will stay all day and is a nice price ($15) to find out.

2. 6 - VALLICE - Led/ Gallant in Norman Robinson and good finale here prior in Super Impose. His run to Blind Raise probably the best lead-up run/ form?

3. 2 - STORMY MARCO - Up in trip last two and has run home well both time. To 2500m with J-Mac proven wet.

4. 4 - KING SNITZ - Had 2-horse war with Vallice and tough win. That was just start four and had month off so may well have more upside than a few here… Goes in.

5. 1- CORMIER - Gave all latest and beat Stormy Marco. Draws better than key rivals.. Stable do think he’s better drier is all…???

6. 3 - TRUE REBEL - Won Vase and wore down Skua latest he too was having just start four… Yep, can win also!

7. 9 - ICY YOU - Heads stack of other hopes. Wowee!
