Kane Cornes has taken aim at the lack of defensive accountability from Adelaide’s midfield during its 24-point loss to Geelong.
Cats star Patrick Dangerfield was particularly damaging with 32 disposals, 10 clearances and 12 inside 50s in a best-on-ground performance against his former club.
Cornes couldn’t believe the amount of space Dangerfield was afforded around the stoppages by the Crows’ on-ball brigade.
“This is unforgivable, this is unbelievable,” the Port Adelaide great told Footy SA.
“If I’m on the board at the Adelaide Crows, I want to know from Don Pyke how the game’s best player has that much time and space to do as he pleased. It happened all night.

“The way that they played him and the lack of respect Adelaide showed Patrick Dangerfield was extraordinary.
