Unsigned utility Adam Tomlinson is keen to stay at GWS, according to SEN Breakfast's Sam Edmund.
The off-contract Giant was a surprise omission for tomorrow’s elimination final against the Western Bulldogs, despite playing every game during the season proper.
Tomlinson is once again on the radar of Victorian clubs having been heavily linked to St Kilda before re-signing with the Giants in 2017.
The 26-year-old’s future remains unclear, but all signs point to an eventual contract extension.
“Adam Tomlinson… he’s an unrestricted free agent this year,” Edmund told SEN Breakfast.
“He’s a Victorian, 26, inaugural member of the GWS Giants and has been one of those players that has been repeatedly asked about since he was drafted from the Oakleigh Chargers.
“The Giants say he is keen to stay and has repeatedly said he’d like to stay in Sydney. They think they’re going to get there; he’s going to stay, and all will be well in Sydney for Adam Tomlinson.”
Since debuting in 2012, Tomlinson has played 137 games for GWS.
The Giants locked away vice-captains Josh Kelly and Stephen Coniglio to new deals with Lachie Whitfield and Jeremy Cameron set to come out of contract next year.
