Port Adelaide Chairman David Koch is expecting his side to be allowed to host all of their finals at the Adelaide Oval.
His side sits on top of the ladder and will likely earn a home Qualifying Final, meaning they will also be entitled to a second home game either in the Semi or Preliminary finals.
A report from Channel 7’s Tom Browne on Tuesday night suggested the Power and Eagles would be allowed to host their first final at home (should they qualify to do so), but stated the Preliminary Finals would take place in Queensland.
Koch said he made some phone calls after seeing the report and is confident that won’t be the case.
“I saw a report last night saying only the first round of the finals would be (at home) if you’re lucky enough to host one,” the Port Chairman told SEN’s Whateley.
“I got a bit annoyed at that and made some inquiries and I think from my understanding that if you earn the right to a home final, apart from the Grand Final, it can be played at home.
“Which is great for interstate clubs who have earned that and put in the hard yards like every club this season.”
Port Adelaide sits a game clear on top of the ladder and has a bye for Round 15.
They take on North Melbourne at Metricon Stadium on Saturday night.
