Joe Daniher and Ben Brown enjoyed strong practice match form for their new clubs on the weekend.
In the Brisbane Lions’ intra-club on Friday, Daniher reportedly starred playing predominantly as a forward while spending time in the ruck.
Dom Fay, from the Roar Deal podcast, was at the game and reported that former Bomber Daniher finished with four goals, including three in the first quarter, with star defender Harris Andrews forced onto him at one point.
At the @brisbanelions intraclub. Quarter time and Joe Daniher has 3 goals already playing on Harris.

One from outside 50, one out the back, and one snapped around the corner in play. What a start. Involved in everything. Also had some minutes in the ruck against Fullarton.
It was also reported that Dan McStay kicked multiple goals while Marcus Adams did a good defensive job on Eric Hipwood.
End of the match. Joe ends up with 4 goals (last one was a monster from 60 out) and spent a fair chunk of time in the ruck.

Others who really impressed:
Bailey - best midfielder out there
McStay - 3 or 4 goals - very involved
Mathieson - Got a heap of it
Adams - Kept Eric quiet
The other big-name key forward who changed clubs last trade period was Brown who shifted from North Melbourne to Melbourne.
Demons captain Max Gawn told Garry and Tim on SEN Breakfast that Brown has been in good pre-season form at his second club.
“He kicked six in an intra-club quarter,” he said.
“Yeah, he kicked six, I think he was playing on no one.
“No, he plays really well. He’s coming across from North and he’s brought a lot for us.
“To be fair, all four of our tall forwards have started really well. Sam Weideman has come back in great shape, Tom McDonald has come back in unbelievable shape and Luke Jackson, I said this time last year was already better than me, now he’s got even better.
“These four guys are going to be battling all year with each other to get in the team, but Browny has started really well.”
Daniher kicked 191 goals in 108 games during his time with Essendon while Brown booted 287 majors in 130 outings for the Kangaroos.
