Carlton’s Lachie Fogarty has received a one-match ban for his spoil-gone-wrong on Fremantle star Nat Fyfe in Saturday’s 73-63 win at the Adelaide Oval.
The incident occurred just before three-quarter-time with Fyfe attempting a mark as Fogarty came from the other direction with his fist raised and collected Fyfe in the chest/neck.
Fyfe received a 50m penalty as a result of the blow but wasn’t concussed as a result of the incident.
The MRO graded the hit as high contact, medium impact and careless conduct.
Fogarty will miss Carlton’s game against Adelaide at Marvel Stadium if he accepts the decision.
