Richmond and Melbourne have both made multiple changes for Anzac Day Eve.

The Tigers and Demons are set to open Round 7 on Wednesday under the MCG lights and are coming off losses in their last game.

As flagged by Adem Yze on SEN Breakfast, Richmond has named former captain Dylan Grimes and star midfielder Jacob Hopper after the duo overcame respective injury challenges, while Sam Naismith and Sam Banks are back into the 23.

Jayden Short is out injured, while all of Tyler Sonsie, Kane McAuliffe and Jacob Koschitzke have been omitted.

Naismith’s selection will see him line up alongside Nankervis in the ruck for the first time this year, with Yze wheeling out a new plan to tackle Max Gawn.

Last time these two sides met, Gawn had 28 possessions, 11 clearances and 40 hitouts in Round 20 last year.

For the Demons, Kysaiah Pickett returns from suspension and Bailey Laurie and Daniel Turner are back in the 23.

Christian Salem’s hamstring injury has kept him out of the team, with Ben Brown and Koltyn Tholstrup dropped.

Wednesday night's clash gets underway at 7:25pm AEST.
