Western Bulldogs draftee Aiden O’Driscoll has been forced into medical retirement due to concussion, the club has confirmed.

O’Driscoll was just over six months into his AFL career after being drafted in last November’s National Draft with pick 55.

It’s understood O’Driscoll suffered a severe concussion in January at training and recently met with the AFL’s concussion panel, where he was advised to retire from contact sports.

O'Driscoll - who was drafted out of Western Australia - is the younger brother of Fremantle Dockers Nathan and Emma.

He’s the third AFL player to retire in 2024 due to concussion, joining Angus Brayshaw and Nathan Murphy.
