Who were the six best players in Round 11?
Nathan Buckley assessed each game and came up with his top six (seven) performers.
Read his thoughts below:
Chad Warner (Sydney)
“I thought he was amazing,” Buckley said on SEN Breakfast.
“If we’re looking at what Harley Reid may become, Chad Warner is a more robust, evolved version of Harley Reid.
“The ‘don’t argues’, the power, the marking, the ability to kick a goal and the balance of stoppage work around the ground.
“He was huge.”
Jordan Clark (Fremantle)
“His run off the back was exceptional.
“He had 30-odd touches and he adds a bit of bite to Fremantle.”
Patrick Cripps (Carlton)
“He was huge.
“Gold Coast are really strong in the stoppage game and Cripps’ game was pivotal in (quelling) that.
“When the club needs him, he stands up. I thought that he led really well.”
Toby Greene (GWS)
“His return to form (was good to see). 24 touches and two goals and the winning goal.
“He looked dangerous all night. He was able to find dangerous space more often than not.
“I thought he was really impactful.”
Jordan Dawson (Adelaide)
“Jordan Dawson’s first quarter was huge for the Crows.”
Max Gawn (Melbourne)
“Max Gawn over Rowan Marshall was nearly an All-Australian showdown for the ruck position.
“Gawn reinforced his dominance there.”
Buckley had a seventh player he wanted to throw into the mix as well.
Jordan Ridley (Essendon)
“First game back shows you how good he can and will be for the Bombers.
“I actually believe a guy like Mason Redman will be a much better player with Ridley around him.”
