Scotty & Izzy started the week focused on the outcome fromn the first All Blacks Test against England, and of course the NZ Warriors penalty controversy that saw NRL referees boss Graham Annesley front up and admitting the Bunker made a mistake.
With Scotty Stevenson heading away for a short break, Israel Dagg was joined by long-time friend of the station and rugby league reporter Sam Ackerman for Thursday and Friday.
The pair previewed this weekend's second Test at Eden Park, along with the Euro 2024 final between Spain and England, Wimbledon, and more big talking sports that the world of live sport has dished up.
This is the best from the week that was on Scotty & Izzy:
Izz's Fizz:
Israel's regular segment where the former All Black shares what he's passionate about in the world of sport, this time focused on that man Annesley.
Seth Partnow:
NBA Data Science Manager Seth Partnow joined the show on Thursday to talk through the off-season moves in the NBA, the hype around Bronny James since the NBA Draft, and the USA team ahead of the Paris Olympics.
Matty Johns:
Fox League & SEN host Matty Johns also joined us on Thursday to discuss the NRL, the Queensland and New South Wales squads named for the State of Origin decider, the Warriors v Bulldogs controversy, and where he thinks the NZ Warriors sit as the season heads into the final stretch.
Adam Bridge:
UK football commentator Adam Bridge joined our last show of the week to preview Monday morning's big Euro 2024 final and the stress levels of England fans regarding the team and Gareth Southgate.
Also on Monday, Scotty and Izzy were live on-air at the time when Lulu Sun made tennis history for herself by becoming the first New Zealand woman to reach the Wimbledon quarter-finals.
Their instant reaction, and the outpouring of support that Sun received on social media, shows what a special moment in New Zealand's sporting history that will become.
