“I wouldn’t have done it”: Swans CEO calls out GWS' “low-brow” troll at Heeney

Sydney Swans CEO Tom Harley has called Greater Western Sydney’s swipe at Isaac Heeney as “low-brow”.

GWS’ often cheeky social media team released a video of their skipper Toby Greene sarcastically apologising to his fans and club after he was fined $3750 for striking Carlton’s Brodie Kemp last week.

The videos tone was very similar to that of the one the Swans released of Heeney after the star midfielder failed to get his one-match ban upheld for striking St Kilda’s Jimmy Webster.

The Swans and Heeney’s video received big engagement and criticism with Kane Cornes and David King labelling the clip as over the top.

And it’s fair to say GWS didn’t miss with their troll video receiving over 598,000 views on X (Twitter).

But Harley wasn't a fan.

“I did see the Giants video and I’m not going to give it any air but (I thought it was) pretty low-brow,” Harley told SEN’s Crunch Time.

“Isaac is a champion of our club and a champion of the game and talk about growing the game a bloke from Newcastle brought up on rugby league, I wouldn’t have done it.”
