Coleman Medallist Scott Cummings has ranked his top 10 players in the AFL ahead of Round 21 of the 2024 season.

Cummings releases his power rankings weekly on SEN WA Breakfast and he added Caleb Serong to his list this week at the expense of Essendon’s Zach Merrett.

He also placed Western Bulldogs forward Jamarra Ugle-Hagan on his watchlist.

“Zach Merrett has come out, and I’ll tell you who is on my watchlist – Jamarra Ugle-Hagan,” Cummings told SEN WA Breakfast.

“That’s in regards to who is the most important to their team right now.”

Check out his top 10 below.

10. Caleb Serong (Fremantle)
Previous ranking: unranked

“He comes in at 10 for Zach Merrett.”

9. Josh Treacy (Fremantle)
Previous ranking: 10

“Do you think Caleb Serong is more important for Fremantle than Josh Treacy? If Fremantle are going to win the flag, Josh Treacy has to be their most important player.”

8. Charlie Curnow (Carlton)
Previous ranking: 8

7. Errol Gulden (Sydney)
Previous ranking: 6

6. Isaac Heeney (Sydney)
Previous ranking: 5

“Isaac Heeney has dropped to number six, he was at number one recently.”

5. Lachie Neale (Brisbane)
Previous ranking: 7

4. Chad Warner (Sydney)
Previous ranking: 4

3. Nick Daicos (Collingwood)
Previous ranking: 3

“Daicos could possibly drift if Collingwood lose this week. The power rankings are about who is the most important to their team.

“But you can’t have a list of the most important players and not have Nick Daicos.”

2. Patrick Cripps (Carlton)
Previous ranking: 2

1. Marcus Bontempelli (Western Bulldogs)
Previous ranking: 1
