There was cause for a lot of reflection throughout the week on Scotty & Izzy.
The 2024 Olympic Games came to an end, with hosts Scotty Stevenson and Israel Dagg celebrating New Zealand's most-golden Olympic campaign with the rest of the country.
And while the Olympic Games might be over, the celebration of sport will soon continue in Paris with the commencement of the Paralympics.
But it wasn't all wins - the All Blacks losing to Argentina to continue their horrid run at Wellington's Sky Stadium, plus the NZ Warriors going down to the Dolphins in golden point, fueled the conversation with listeners as the text messages continued to flow.
This is the best from the week that was on SENZ's Scotty & Izzy:
Hamish Kerr
Scotty & Izzy caught up with Hamish Kerr on Monday following his gold medal in Paris, where he made history as the first Kiwi to win a high jump Olympic medal - doing so by beating the USA's Shelby McEwen in a dramatic jump-off to determine the gold medallist.
Lydia Ko
Ko's gold was an incredible highlight for the nation at Paris 2024. The now Olympic golf champion also joined the show on Monday after completing her set of Olympic medals and picking up the remaining point she needed to make it into the LPGA Hall of Fame.
Anna Grimaldi
The Kiwi long jumper is looking to gain her third consecutive Paralympic gold when the Games get underway August 28 in Paris.
Grant Dalton
Team NZ boss Grant Dalton joined the show on Friday ahead of the America’s Cup, which starts officially next week in Barcelona, to discuss the team’s preparations and address criticisms surrounding the regatta being relocated away from New Zealand.
Tune into Scotty & Izzy from 6-9am weekdays on SENZ, available on the SENZ app or find your local frequency here.
