With the home and away season coming to an end for 10 clubs this weekend, we felt it time for some reflection.
Brad Johnson and Kane Cornes went through each non-finals club on SEN’s Sportsday and assessed who they believe will finish in the top three of their respective best and fairest counts.
First up is Richmond who have struggled in Adem Yze’s first year as coach.
1 - Nick Vlastuin
2 - Daniel Rioli
3 - Liam Baker
Johnson: “For Richmond I’ve gone with Vlastuin to win it, Rioli second, Baker third.”
Cornes: “I probably would have gone with Rioli.
“I thought Vlastuin’s first half (of the season) was excellent. He was spoken about as a strong All-Australian contender. I feel like he dropped off somewhat and I feel like Rioli has charged home. I could be persuaded either way.
“Baker has been pretty solid.”
Johnson: “Two of those could leave so it makes it interesting with how that finishes up.”
“Some Tigers fans have texted in saying ‘Nank’ (Toby Nankervis) will be up there.”
Cornes: “I’m not sure about Nank.”
