Collingwood’s John Noble has requested a trade to an interstate club.
The Magpies have confirmed that the 27-year-old defender wants to depart the club this off-season despite being contracted until the end of 2026.
The Age is reporting that Noble has asked for a trade to the Gold Coast Suns who have offered him a four-year contract.
“John today informed us he would like to explore a trade ahead of next season to be closer to family,” Collingwood Head of Football Strategy, Innovation and List Management Justin Leppitsch said in a club statement.
“Whilst John is contracted, we understand the importance of family and will take this into consideration as we work through the trade period.”
His twin brother Mark lives in Queensland.
Noble was picked up by the Pies in the 2019 mid-season draft and has played 112 games in black and white.
He played every home and away game of the 2023 season before he was dropped for the finals series, missing Collingwood’s premiership.
The West Adelaide product played 20 games and averaged 18.9 disposals and four rebounds 50s in 2024.
