Racing in Southeast Queensland today comes from the Gold Coast where it’s the annual Pink Ribbon Raceday. Track rated a soft (5) at acceptance time this morning, expect an upgrade early & with the warm conditions I wouldn’t be surprised to see another during the day. First of 9 races get under way at 11.58am.

RACE 1 # 7 YET HE MOVES

Beaten by his stablemate Fleur Du Monde at Doomben last start they meet again in this race where I’m confident the tables can be turned. He worked for the first half of the race before finding the front, still giving plenty down the straight he was a sitting shot & was run down over the latter stages. He scores a 1.5kg weight swing plus a better draw. Gets his chance.

RACE 6 # 9 SECRET PLAN

Keen on his chances last start to gain revenge on Rockribbed however for a horse who settles on speed he missed the start which basically put an end to his winning chances. To his credit though he did run home well to be just over 2L from the winner Plundering, they meet again today with this one 3.5kg better at the weights. Stick with him.
