Champion trainer James Cummings has outlined where punters should expect to see Tom Kitten and Traffic Warden next start.

Tom Kitten finished fourth in last Saturday's King Charles Stakes where he was an eye-catching run in the famous Godolphin blue silks for jockey Jamie Kah behind Ceolwulf, Pride Of Jenni and My Oberon.

Cummings says Tom Kitten will next race in the Golden Eagle on November 2 and is heading there with confidence given his form in races like the King Charles and the Epsom.

“Tom Kitten is going to go to the Golden Eagle,” Cummings told SENTrack.

“He’ll know he’s in a horse race there but what better form to take to the Golden Eagle than the Pride Of Jenni and Ceolwulf form coming out of the King Charles.

“I think that’s going to be, I’d like to think, nearly as good as the Japanese form.”

As for Traffic Warden, Cummings says his star sprinter has come through last Saturday’s late scratching at the gates before The Everest in fine order and will head to Melbourne later this week for an official trial down the Flemington straight.

He will next race in the Coolmore Stud Stakes, also on November 2.

“Traffic Warden has pulled up fine,” Cummings added.

“He came through unscathed but for a tiny bit of bark off which is a huge relief considering what can go wrong in a circumstance like that.

“The horse will be thoroughly checked over after doing a light piece of work on Tuesday morning at Osborne Park and will then travel down to Melbourne and settle in at Carbine Lodge.

“All things being equal, he’ll undergo a barrier trial to the satisfaction of the stewards up the Flemington straight on Friday which won’t do the horses chances in the Coolmore up the straight any harm at all.”

Tom Kitten is an $11 chance with Sportsbet in the Golden Eagle.

Traffic Warden is the $3.50 second favourite in the Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington on November 2.
