St Kilda has signed Jack Carroll on deadline day of the delisted free agency period.

The former Carlton forward was cut by the Blues this off-season following 21 AFL games, with 15 of those coming this season.

St Kilda Executive General Manager of Football David Misson was thrilled to announce the acquisition of the West Australian.

“We’re pleased to welcome Jack to the club,” Misson said via a statement.

“There was a lot to like in Jack’s performances this season and we believe he can bring an added layer to our midfield mix.

“Jack’s got great leg-speed and at only 21 we believe his best footy is still ahead of him.”

Carroll himself is excited to get stuck into his fifth AFL pre-season having been originally drafted ahead of the 2021 campaign.

“I’m very grateful for the opportunity,” Carroll said.

“I can’t wait to meet my new teammates and the rest of the club and get stuck into pre-season.”

Carroll is the third signing of the delisted free agency period. Tim Membrey (St Kilda to Collingwood) and Jack Martin (Carlton to Geelong) were both signed by new clubs at the start of the window.
