In 2023, the Brisbane Broncos were one Nathan Cleary masterclass away from their first premiership since 2006.
Skip a year later and it was a strong case of second-season fever in 2024, with Queensland's glamour club falling out of the top eight after underwhelming performances from a number of stars, ultimately costing coach Kevvie Walters his job.
Injuries marred much of Brisbane's season, with stars Reece Walsh, Adam Reynolds and Payne Haas missing extended periods, but the on-field issues extended beyond the club's casualty ward.
It hasn't been a smooth off-season for the Broncos, constantly in the headlines for sagas surrounding Ben Hunt and Ezra Mam but their hopes for 2025 are pinned on new coach Michael Maguire's attempted culture change.
