India have begun day two nicely in Brisbane after taking three wickets in the opening session to have Australia at 3/104 at lunch.

Superstar paceman Jasprit Bumrah set the tone early for the visitors, who managed to get the better of Usman Khawaja (21) and Nathan McSweeney (9) early on day two.

Along with the wickets, Bumrah’s efficient bowling has his economy at 1.86 heading into the main break which is the best out of the four bowlers that have had ball in hand in this opening innings for India.

Marnus Labuschagne battled bravely for 55 balls, before he was caught in the slips for 12 runs sharply from Virat Kohli off the bowling of Nitish Kumar Reddy.

Since then, both Steve Smith (25) and Travis Head (20) have batted solidly to have Australia at this position at lunch.

Play will resume again at 2:00pm EST (1:00pm local time) where India will look to continue to make inroads into Australia’s middle order.
