SEN’s Dwayne Russell has named the teams under the most pressure heading into Finals Week 1.
Russell’s pressure meter ranks teams from 1-5, with number one having the most pressure on them and the most to lose heading into the round.
Check out Russell’s pressure meter below.
1 - Adelaide
vs Western Bulldogs – Adelaide Oval – Saturday
“You can't get any more pressure than reports that the coach will be sacked if the team loses,” Russell told SEN's Dwayne's World.
2 – Fremantle
vs Hawthorn – Optus Stadium – Thursday
“Had everything in their favour at home last year and they blew it against the Suns.
“They can't blow it again, Fremantle.”
3 – Geelong
vs Carlton - MCG – Friday
“The Blues should be a sitting duck.
“Tough Wildcard win last week, they've had a tough three months, and the Cats have had the week off and have either one player on their injury list or none.”
4 – Western Bulldogs
vs Adelaide - Adelaide Oval – Saturday
“It's a hard four and five. The Dogs just can't get smashed, and end their season poorly. That's the pressure that the Dogs are under.
“If they lose and go down fighting, I think it's still a good season that they can cope with.“
5 – Brisbane
vs Sydney - SCG – Saturday
“I could easily have the Lions at four.
“Three in a row... if they beat the depleted Swans and don't blow it at the SCG, the flag is almost theirs.
“They will be the premiership favourites in my estimation. I think they will beat the Swans, get a home prelim final and then off to the 'G where they like it.
“It's probably - dare I say it - the easiest flag chance that they've had after the last couple of years when they've really had to do it tough.“
