Fremantle has sent Nathan O’Driscoll to Richmond!
The wantaway Docker joins the Tigers in exchange for Pick 61 in the 2026 draft.
O'Driscoll joins the Tigs on a three-year deal, passing up on a three-year contract to remain a Docker.
The Hawks have officially lodged its free agency paperwork for out-of-contract Sun Ben King.
As King is restricted, the Suns now have three days to determine whether or not to match the contract offer.
If they match, Hawthorn will be forced to trade for the tall forward.
If they take the compensation, the club receives Pick 7 in the upcoming draft.
St Kilda have opened their attack on Brisbane's Sam Marshall, tabling a future second and a future third to the Lions in exchange for the premiership player.
The Lions have rejected the offer.
Brisbane has already stated that they expect picks in the 2026 draft in exchange for Marshall if they are to complete a deal - picks that St Kilda don't currently own.
However, talks are underway.
Melbourne has lodged an offer with North Melbourne for Zane Duursma.
AFL Media’s Josh Gabelich has reported that the Demons have provided three options for the Roos.
Duursma, 21, has been offered a two-year deal by the Dees and is eager to depart Arden Street, even after Alastair Clarkson’s exit and Jaymie Graham’s arrival.
Zane's uncle, Jamie Duursma, played 33 games for the Demons in the late 1980s.
Tom Morris has reported that Geelong has lodged an offer for Essendon's Jordan Ridley.
The offer is a future first, Jack Bowes, and another later future pick.
St Kilda will prioritise Brisbane’s Sam Marshall, but the Lions want a 2026 pick and not a future selection.
AFL Media’s Riley Beveridge is reporting that the Saints would prefer to use a future pick given they have no draft capital between Pick 8 and Pick 49 this year.
Three-time premiers Brisbane are seeking a pick in the mid-20s after taking Academy product Marshall at Pick 25 in the 2024 draft.
St Kilda’s pursuit of Marshall will be top of the agenda meaning the Saints won’t go after Richmond veteran Jayden Short, added Cal Twomey.
Premiership Tiger Short is keen to explore his options and the Saints were one club who showed initial interest, but it seems like they won’t continue the chase.
Collingwood remains keen on the 30-year-old who has two years to run on his deal at the Tigers.
Gryan Miers is happy at Geelong, and West Coast must drive any potential trade.
That is the messaging from Miers’ manager, Liam Pickering, who says the contracted 27-year-old is content to remain a Cat.
Miers did undergo a medical at the Eagles but that was just to keep all options open.
“He’s comfortable at Geelong, he’s happy to stay at the Cats. He doesn’t really want to move,” Pickering said on Channel 7’s Agenda Setters.
“He jetted off to Rome on Friday after the best and fairest. We’ve been in contact, just texting and seeing what’s happening.
“West Coast are going to have to drive this if they want to get Gryan to agree. They’ve done a medical, which we all know now.
“You’ve got to cover your bases in case something does happen.
“We haven’t even got to the stage where we’re talking terms with West Coast. There’s a fair way to go obviously.”
Additionally, Eagles list manager Matt Clarke suggested it was unlikely that Miers would move from the Cattery.
“I think it's unlikely that Gryan makes a move west. We're still open to it, but it's just more about where Geelong are,” Clarke told AFL Trade Radio.
“Management were great to deal with and Geelong were aware (of the medical). Gryan was heading overseas so if anything was going to move in the next week and a half, then we needed to have something like that.
“I haven't had a formal conversation with the Cats as yet on Gryan.”
Miers has a deal at Geelong for 2027.
