SPORTS Entertainment Network (SEN) confirms it has entered into a management rights agreement with the new owner of the Perth Lynx, following the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) league and clubs’ approval.

Under the deal, SEN Teams - which also owns the Perth Wildcats – will provide management and operational support to the new Lynx entity.

In discussing the agreement, Sports Entertainment Network Chief Executive Craig Hutchison expressed his deep commitment to Perth basketball and the Lynx's role in the community.

"We care deeply for Perth basketball and the Lynx is such a crucial part of basketball across all of Western Australia.

“The team has such a rich history in the West and serves as an inspiration and aspiration for the fast-growing basketball community and for athletes to aim towards the elite level. It also is a great entertainment product that we couldn't bear to see lost to the state in any way.

“We look forward to supporting the Hauff family in ensuring the Lynx grow and remain a highly viable and premiership-contending team in the years to come, and forge even closer ties with the Wildcats."

Owner Jodi Millhahn and Managing Director Christian Hauff, said they were delighted to become the team's new custodians.

"As investors in SEN Teams, we have seen the incredible potential and opportunities surrounding women's sports. And as proud Western Australians, we know what a significant role the Perth Lynx plays in the local basketball community and across the state.

"We are thrilled to be a part of this storied franchise and are committed to working alongside SEN Teams to ensure the Lynx continue to thrive and reach new heights.

"We want to thank Basketball WA and Basketball Australia for their collaboration and support in preserving the Lynx's future. We are excited to embark on this journey with the entire Lynx family, and we share their enthusiasm and dedication to building a bright future for the team."

The operations of the Perth Lynx basketball program will remain independent and continue to be led by General Manager Samantha Macpherson.
