Motorsports fans across the nation have awoken to the news they've long been awaiting, with confirmation Kiwi Liam Lawson will step into the RB seat for the rest of the Formula One season.
The 22-year-old Aucklander takes the reins from Australian Daniel Ricciardo, whose ongoing struggles have had his spot under threat all year.
Lawson is expected to be offered a contract to retain his seat fulltime next season alongside Yuki Tsunoda.
There's also speculation that if he performs strongly down the stretch, Red Bull Could promote him to join Max Verstappen at Sergio Perez's expense.
Lawson will have his first chance to impress at the US Grand Prix in Auston on October 21.
Autosport journalist Ben Hunt joined SENZ Breakfast on Friday to discuss Lawson's monumental move and all of its repercussions in detail.
