Panthers CEO, Brian Fletcher spoke on Mornings with Matt White, cementing Nathan Cleary will take the field on Sunday’s Grand final against the Melbourne Storm.
Cleary has been battling a shoulder injury since round 24, which saw him miss three matches, however he has returned to his best in this final’s series.
Fans were fearful when Cleary left the field prematurely in Saturday night’s finals game against the Sharks, however Fletcher says this will not stop him.
“Nathan Cleary will be playing. There’s no problems with that,” he told Mornings with Matt White.
“He’s got a bit of a bruise on his shoulder but apart from that that he’ll be good as gold.”
Fletcher ensures the whole team looks good heading into their fifth straight grand final, as they hope to achieve a four-pete.
“They know what to do and they’ve been there before, so it’s all systems go,” he added.
The Panthers and Storm will face off in the 2024 Premiership match on Sunday at 7:30pm.
