The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs experienced an almighty resurgence as the club qualified for the finals for the first time since 2018.

In their second season under Cameron Ciraldo, the Bulldogs' defence improved out of sight, having the third best defensive record this season, compared to the worst in 2023.

The influence of Stephen Crichton, who joined the club from the Penrith Panthers, cannot be understated, with Michael Carayannis calling their new skipper "one of their most influential signings in the past 50 years".

The Bulldogs' recruitment in the off-season was largely criticised for an abundance of 'utility' players, however, all the signings clearly paid off as the Dogs of War returned with a bite to finish sixth.

While the club were knocked out in the first round of finals, season 2024 was still a roaring success for the blue and white, who will be looking to continue to build on their form in 2025.

Michael Carayannis's Grade: A

Finish: 6th (14W, 10L)

Signings: Tom Amone (Leigh Leopards), Sitili Tupouniua (Roosters), Marcelo Montoya (Warriors), Enari Tuala (Knights)

Losses: Jeral Skelton (Wests Tigers), Joash Papalii (Eels), Jordan Samrani (Eels), Josh Addo-Carr (Eels), Kitione Kautoga (Eels)
