An exciting 12 race card awaits us on this lovely Thursday night and if I said the years flying by, well I think it’s going sub 34.60 over the 600m. Christmas is fast approaching and we all have presents to buy so let’s dissect this meeting and make some cash to load gifts under the trees!
Headlining tonight’s card is a Grade 5 Final over 600m worth $8,800 to the winner backed up by a Best 8, Free for All and numerous grade 5’s. The meeting starts at 7:14pm with race 1 and concludes at 10:58pm with race 12. Don’t miss a second, eat dinner between races not during and back winners.
R1 N9 SWEETEST OF ALL
Fast beginner who finds herself in a race with minimal early zip. Expect to cross and lead and after putting a 30.24 on the board two starts ago I’d expect her to hold on. Goes well at the track, should clear the speed in 2 & 4 but just hope we don’t go too hard left early. Went impressively through the splits two starts back and repeat sees her a fair way in front. Keen as mustard!!
R4 N4 ALL NATURAL
Flying machine on his day and love the preparation Capalaba to Albion Park. Massive run on resuming when rattling home up the straight, returns to a venue in the creek where he knows every grain of sand like the back of his paw. Expect to lead with minimal speed inside and wide runners in 6 & 7 to keep out the main danger KAHLO HAYZE. Wouldn’t be running if he wasn’t fit for 520m so if he leads then it’s taking a big run to beat him.
R2 N5 OBLIGING BILL
Blessed with early speed to put him into numerous races and has been mixing his form of late. Seems to love running 6th every second start but don’t believe there’s anything to it. Raced against talented types his past five starts and this is slightly easier. Draws a race with minimal speed so should lead. Placed in 50% of starts over the trip but does need to lead to win.
R11 N5 KING ETERNAL
Big win last start and can do the same here tonight. Finds a similar race tonight with decent pace early. A genuine 30.40 race where he has class on his side to win. Relies on luck throughout but if he finds the fence he’s hard to stop. Last start won in 30.52 and lost 3-4 lengths in that run. Each way play!!
