Feature races include 3 heats of the Past Members Trophy over the 630m followed by 7 heats of the Ipswich Gold Cup where the fields are stacked! The first race kicks off at 7:19pm and the last, race 12, scheduled for 1 minute past 11pm. Enough of my dribble, let’s find the winners!!

Luckless run last week over the shorter journey when steaming home against Bears Bullet who is a classy sprinter. Up in trip a huge plus, goes well at the track and expect to lead in a very weak race. Main danger the 1 who is a strong type but it will need luck. We’ve placed in 9 of past 10, strikes at 43% off inside draws 1-3. Keen as but have to lead!

R6 N6 AUTUMN STORM

In serious form without winning plenty. Didn’t feature last start but prior was exceptional. Loves the track where he’s 3 wins and 3 minors from 8 starts, drawn ideal out wide and should get a lovely cart into the race from speed in 5 and no pace outside. Sits 3rd early and mows them down. Will be backed late.

R5 N2 JOHNNY NO ICE

Huge, huge, huge last week when 2nd in a luckless run. Comes to Ipswich where he’s placed at 50% of his 12 starts and owns a 30.60 PB. Gets a cart into the race from speed in boxes 1, 3 & 4 and should camp on them late. Strong type who does rely on luck but at $21 it’s a great each way bet.

R8 N8 BACKCREEK BENNY

Last weeks run was absolutely massive and expect to feature here as long as he doesn’t get too far back. Good record off wide draws but is slow early and needs a clean run for momentum. In a super kennel where he will be primed to win. 520m could well be too short for him but expect to rattle late, each way all day kids!
