We are back yet again for another week of exciting greyhound racing and after two weeks at Ippy for the Ipswich Gold Cup we return to 'The Creek'. The stage is set for 5 Heats of the Rising Star where some of the fastest and most exciting youngsters of the sport do battle. It's great to see so many interstate visitors and with the prize money on offer in QLD at present why wouldn't you want to make the trip across. A 12 rce card awaits, the first schedule;ed for 7:34pm and the last due to go at 24 minutes past 11. It's a late finish so hopefully we are on a tear tipping winners and it prevents you from the coffee to keep you ticking. Let's get 'em!
R6 N8 DAYSEA’S RORY
Talk about well drawn, loves a wide draw and has thrived off box 8 in the past. Gets a lovely map for tonight’s race with speed in the seven who allows us to muster and explode before the bend. 6 runs off the pink for 2 wins and 3 minor placings, however doesn’t win as frequently at Albion park with 3 wins and 14 minors from 27 attempts. Expect to add to the winners column tonight!
R7 N1 MOSSY BOOTS
Been a huge fan of this dog for a while and draws favourably tonight. Punters clearly haven’t missed her being $15 into $3 and it’s mind boggling she even opened that! Both her wins have come off inside draws, raced against the best the past few starts at Ipswich and can hold her own. Finds a winnable race here tonight. Keen as hot English mustard.
R4N6 SHAZAM
In some really good form and should benefit from the 600m run a week and a half ago. Drawn well, speed inside with the 3 and 4 dragging us into the race. Speed in 8 isn't too concerning and expect to hold it out. Believe the favourite Dalwhinnie is vulnerable due to a wide runner inside and speed on its outer. We have a great record at the track striking at over 50%. Each way all day at $16.
R9 N6 ORSON APPETITE
In good form over mixed distances and does have the speed to lead here and make a race of it. Ludicrous odds at double figures and has proven 600m is close to her pet distance. 8 starts for 3 wins and 4 placings over 600 backs up that statement. Very open race and no harder than what she’s raced against of late. Each way play
