SEN’s The Run Home team of Andy Maher, Andrew Gaze and Julian De Stoop have had enough!
They want to see non-midfielders around the AFL awarded for their great performances with votes in some form or another.
Mids have dominated Brownlow Medal voting for the past three decades, giving the others no chance.
Dependable Western Bulldogs defender (and Hawthorn premiership player) Taylor ‘Doc’ Duryea has played over 200 games and never received a Brownlow vote. This one is for the likes of him.
(On the proviso that the player in question did not attend a centre bounce in this particular match. However, ruckmen are included).
